ATLANTA – September 21, 2015 – Cookerly Public Relations, a leading Atlanta-based agency, today announced the hiring of Stephen M. Brown, APR, as SVP & chief innovation officer. In this role, Stephen will be responsible for agency business development and marketing initiatives. Specifically, he will promote innovation with the firm’s services and match them to the needs of the marketplace. Additionally, he will deliver account service work, especially to consumer facing clients.

With more than 20 years of experience in all facets of public relations, Stephen’s most recent position was EVP and managing director of the Cohn & Wolfe Atlanta office. Additionally, he has served in senior roles at two other global PR firms where he led public relations campaigns and drove agency business development. Stephen has also been involved in the Georgia chapter of the Public Relations Society of America for many years and is currently serving as president of the organization – the second largest chapter in the country.
